Artist working across film, digital media, paint, sculpture, and installation to build codified image systems from two source streams: contemporary screen life (interfaces, screenshots, circulating images) and the physical world (South African nature, drawings, photographs, diary entries).
Hybrid studio practice: Combining acrylic plastics and metal, paint, fabricated objects, print, film, and installation formats that externalize screen logic through blank white and reflective finishes.
Core themes: Performativity and self-curation; symbolic languages shaped by screen culture; Southern African landscapes and ancient geology; and controlled visibility, where privacy and confession are managed through concealment and simple encryption methods such as ASCII translation, embedded visual codes, and font-based censoring.
Current focus: Expanding the Loobtopia/Ethereality worlds through fabricated laser-engraved drawings, and paintings on aluminum. Embedding my secrets into a liminal sublime.
